United States' Four Color Zack took home a decisive victory on his home turf at the 2012 Red Bull Thre3style World Finals at the Metro in Chicago. Showered in confetti, the Northwest export accepted his trophy flanked by his fellow world finals competitors, including second place selection Nedu Lopes of Brazil and third place selection DJ Drummer of Chile. DJ Shub (Canada), DJ Nicco (Jamaica) and D. Beam (Spain) rounded out the remaining six finalists who made it to the global stage. In the end, however, it was Four Color Zack who showcased his technical ability, passion and knack of party rockin' during his 15-minute set.

Four Color Zack earned his trip to the world finals thanks to a national final mix that pulled "big reactions out of unexpected songs." After being knocked out of the competition on day two and brought back to the world finals as a wild card, Four Color Zack didn't leave anything to chance, pulling from an arsenal of well-known tracks that spanned from Aha to Alicia Keys, the Ramones to Rhianna and back through a bevy of slick vocal drops. Most impressively -- to both the audience and the judges looking on -- was the balance of technology in play throughout his set. Four Color Zack brought a dose of DJ culture in every sense, keeping his stance widened enough to respect the principles of turntablism while nailing the agility needed to execute live triggering on a MPD and working the crowd without missing a beat.

In the end, the trio of judges -- including renowned hip-hop legend DJ Jazzy Jeff, fast-handed turntablist Skratch Bastid and the illustrious Cosmo Baker -- picked Four Color Zack over the five international competitors for his dedication and passion.

official-language minority communities in Victoria on their priorities
in one of a series of pan-Canadian Government consultations on official
languages.

The Judges' House scenes filmed at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray will air on UK TV station ITV
and on TV3 in Ireland. During the show six contestants from the boys' category will be put
through their paces as they audition in front of former Pussy Cat Doll Nicole Scherzinger
and Grammy Award-winning singer Ne-Yo in the hotel's Lebanese restaurant, Al Nafoorah. The
'deliberation' scene, filmed in the luxurious Talise Ottoman Spa, shows both celebrities
faced with the difficult task of choosing three contestants, the news of which will be
broken to contestants in an emotional scene in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray's Vietnamese
restaurant Voi.



The Xtra Factor, a spin-off series of the show fronted by TV presenter Caroline Flack,
highlights additional scenes as the participants take part in a variety of activities
available at the hotel, and will broadcast both evenings on ITV2 following the main show.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Lipstick & Liquor, a timely and compelling documentary that explores the hidden world of suburban women who drink, as well as the stigma that causes them to refuse treatment, will premiere at New York City's REEL Recovery Film Festival on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 3:00PM at the Quad Cinema. A Q&A session with the filmmaker and women profiled in the film will immediately follow the showing. Screenings in Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, and Vancouver will take place in October and November. A Washington, D.C. premier of the film is planned for early 2013. This is the first time the film fest will be held in Manhattan. From Friday, September 28 to Thursday, October 4, moviegoers will get an up-close look into the world of substance abuse and those affected by it.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), alcoholism is the third leading cause of preventable death among women between the ages of 35 and 55. "The statistics are startling," says filmmaker Lori Butterfield, who spent the past two years researching the topic of women and alcohol. "DUI arrests of women are up 30% from a decade ago, while arrests for men are down. Binge drinking among women is also on the rise. Through this film, I have learned that there is a real double standard in our society; women drinkers are treated differently than men."

Lipstick & Liquor begins with the haunting story of Julie Kroll, a 39-year-old suburban mother from Woodbridge, Virginia. Julie went missing on December 16, 2009 when she stumbled away from a minor car crash in the dead of winter, leaving her eight-year-old daughter behind in the car. Police also found an open container of alcohol in the car. At the outset, Prince William County Police treated Julie as a criminal instead of an endangered missing adult. After the story broke, Julie was vilified online for being an irresponsible and neglectful mother.

Butterfield, an Emmy award-winning producer and writer, felt compelled to create Lipstick & Liquor after reading Julie Kroll's story in the newspaper. Through her research, Butterfield discovered that many women turn to alcohol to cope with the intense pressure of juggling work, family and financial demands. "Many women become 'kitchen drinkers' and hide the fact that alcohol is taking over their lives," says Butterfield. "What starts out as a drink to take the edge off after work, or when the kids go to bed, leads to drinking even more, which can progress over time to alcohol abuse."

Psychotherapist and author Dr. Anita Gadhia-Smith, one of the experts in the film, agrees. "In my practice, I see a lot of professional women who are also mothers, they have marriages, families and careers, and they are trying to be all things to all people," says Dr. Gadhia-Smith. "They have less and less time to take care of themselves and that can show up in all kinds of ways, like alcoholism and other health issues."

Today, a growing number of adult women drink to excess, and the consequences they face are dramatic. Alcohol plays a role in thousands of bankruptcies and divorces. Yet the families and friends of women who abuse alcohol often fail to recognize--or acknowledge-- the problem.

In the film, Dr. Deidra Roach, Medical Project Officer in the Division of Treatment and Recovery at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), talks about the barriers for women seeking help. "Sadly, women who have a problem with alcohol are much more harshly judged by our society than men. And that stigma has caused women to be 12 times more likely to resist seeking treatment than men."

Among women, alcoholism is less likely to be recognized by a doctor, and more likely to reach advanced stages before it's discovered. Through the film, Butterfield hopes to spark a new dialogue about the issue. "I want to start a new conversation about this issue among families, friends, the media and the medical profession. I hope the film inspires women to feel safer coming forward about their problem and getting help. I also want people to truly understand that alcohol dependence is a disease."

Bret Perkins, Vice President of External and Government Affairs for Comcast Corporation, highlighted several new enhancements to the program at a special event held at Westside Elementary where Baltimore City Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake recognized students for winning a competition for the most improved school attendance. Comcast provided the school with a $1,000 grant in honor of this achievement, and shared additional information about Internet Essentials with students and parents.

To date, more than 100,000 families - or more than 400,000 Americans - have been connected to the Internet through Internet Essentials. In its second year, Comcast continues to enhance the program with new features and processes designed to accelerate enrollment.

Since Internet Essentials launched, Comcast has made a number of program enhancements including:

Program (NSLP). This means nearly 300,000 additional households are now
eligible for the program, bringing the total to 2.3 million eligible
families;
-- Doubled broadband speeds to up to 3 Mbps downstream and up to 768 Kbps
upstream;
-- Upgraded the free Internet safety software to include the Constant Guard
Protection Suite, which includes top-rated Norton Security Suite,
identity theft protection and more;
-- Enriched digital literacy training efforts both online and in-person,
including offering a series of short videos, featuring NBC and Telemundo
news personalities Al Roker, Kate Snow, Jenna Wolfe and Jose
Diaz-Balart, discussing how to use job search tools and social
networking sites as well as tips for what parents should know about
cyber bullying;
-- Streamlined the approval process by providing an instant approval
process for all students who attend schools with the highest percentage

organizations to purchase Internet Essentials accounts so they can
connect the eligible families they serve.
Internet Essentials Program Details:

Internet Essentials addresses three primary barriers to broadband adoption that research has identified: a lack of understanding of how the Internet is relevant and useful, the cost of a home computer and the cost of the Internet service. Program participants receive:


-- Residential Internet service for $9.95 a month plus applicable taxes;
-- No price increases, no activation fees, or equipment rental fees;
-- A voucher to purchase a low-cost computer for $149.99 plus tax; and
-- Access to free digital literacy training in print, online and in-person.
A household is eligible to participate if it meets all of the following criteria:


-- Is located where Comcast offers Internet service;
-- Has at least one child who is eligible to receive either a free or
reduced price school lunch under the NSLP;
-- Has not subscribed to Comcast Internet service within the last 90 days;
-- Does not have an overdue Comcast bill or unreturned equipment.
Comcast will sign up eligible families in the program through the end of the 2013-2014 school year. Any household that qualifies will remain eligible for Internet Essentials if at least one child eligible for either a free or reduced price school lunch remains living in the household.
