DUBOIS, Pa., Aug. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In keeping with their long-standing tradition since 1911, the DuBois Concert Association announced today their Three-Concert Series season for 2011-2012.

This entertainment season will include the much-lauded "Swing Machine" conducted and directed by Robert Feldbush whose musical career spans over 50 years ranging from the United States Navy School of Music to receiving the Distinguished Alumnus Award in music education in 2000, from Kent State in Ohio. Mr. Feldbush will fill the Big-Band stage with 20 other musicians playing trumpet, trombone, guitar, percussion and guitar. The Swing Machine concert will be held on September 18th at 3PM at the DuBois Middle School.

On October 24th, the "Southern Fried Jazz Band" will be led by veteran trumpeter Don Edwards. Edwards' musical history has been distinguished by backing some of the world's Dixieland greats like Louis Armstrong and the World's Greatest Jazz Band. The "Southern Fried Jazz" horn section has established itself as having a crowd-pleasing variety of musical selections and well honed stage spontaneity amongst its veteran players.

In early 2012, the DuBois Concert Association will fill the hall with anxious fans of Steve Lippia. Heralded around the world as one of the finest vocal interpreters of jazz and pop "standards" of this generation, Steve Lippia will sing his way through the American songbook to the delight of all that get their tickets early. The concert will be held on April 22.

Each tour concert ends with a Salute to the Armed Forces of the United States, featuring all of the military service songs.

Concerts will highlight a variety of soloists including pianist Gunnery Sgt. Russell Wilson performing Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor, Opus 16, cornetist Gunnery Sgt. Brian Turnmire playing Herbert L. Clarke's "The Southern Cross," and percussionist Staff Sgt. Jonathan Bisesi performing Pablo de Sarasate's challenging Zigeunerweisen, Opus 20, transcribed for xylophone by former Marine Band arranger Thomas Knox. Also, concert moderator and mezzo-soprano Staff Sgt. Sara Dell'Omo will offer the vocal medley Sentimental Journey: A World War II Hit Parade, arranged by Marine Band staff arranger Staff Sgt. Ryan Nowlin. The medley includes popular World War II songs such as "Sentimental Journey," "Accentuate the Positive," "Stormy Weather," and "That Old Black Magic."

This is in recognition of their paper on Super Hi-Vision, the ultra high definition television system which is once again being demonstrated at IBC this year.

Before developing the Super Hi-Vision system, NHK set out to determine what exactly were the limits of human perception, and what visual and aural experience was needed to create a sense of "being there", of becoming immersed. It is this research which forms the core of the winning paper.

Its video parameters have been designed on the basis of psychophysical studies of human vision conducted at NHK Science and Technology Research Laboratories and described in our paper.

Mr Nishida will receive the IBC2011 Best Conference Paper Award during the IBC Awards Ceremony, which takes place on Sunday 11 September at 18:30 in the RAI Auditorium. The programme will also include presentation of the IBC Innovation Awards and Exhibition Design Awards, the Judges' Prize and a Special Award, and it will also mark the presentation of the International Honour for Excellence to Sir David Attenborough.

The ceremony will end with a unique presentation on the latest stereoscopic 3D wildlife programmes presented by Anthony Geffen of Atlantic Productions. The first of these, Flying Monsters 3D with Sir David Attenborough, has already been broadcast by Sky 3D and is now on theatrical release. Atlantic Productions, with Sir David, is now working on two more stereoscopic 3D wildlife documentaries: one on the botanical wonders of Kew Gardens, featuring timelapse and macro photography; and The Bachelor King, shot on location amongst the penguins of South Georgia. Geffen will talk about the challenges of making these three very different films as well as show excerpts from each.

NEW YORK, Aug. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- VH1 is teaming up with multi-platinum recording artist and America's top selling rapper T.I. as he re-adjusts to life as a free man after being incarcerated for nearly a year in a Federal prison in Arkansas. In the new untitled T.I. series premiering December 5 at 10PM*, viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the most private and personal moments of one of today's hottest, most sought after Grammy winning artists as he is reunited with his wife and kids and thrust back into society at this crucial juncture in his life.

The half hour 10-episode series follows the "King of the South" at his most vulnerable state, as he is released from an 11 month Federal prison term, his second stint in three years. Along the way we will see T.I. re-acclimate back into his life as a father, husband, son and friend, as well as a musician, a clothier, a businessman, and an actor (he last starred in and produced Sony's film TAKERS which opened number one at the box office the weekend prior to his arrest). We will also witness T.I. behind the scenes in studio as he goes about recording yet another likely Grammy-award winning album. All the while with T.I. needing to abide by a new set of restrictions and obstacles due to his probation terms. Can the King stay on the straight and narrow while juggling the chaos of his kingdom?
