MP3tunes Announces Free Unlimited Online Music Storage
Free Unlimited Storage, Unlimited Bandwidth, Mobile Features to Stream Music Anywhere
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- MP3tunes today announces the availability of unlimited online music storage -- free -- with the release of its newly improved Oboe music locker. Including a unique variety of features designed for enjoying and managing music, the Oboe locker provides more value than any mere online backup service. All Oboe users benefit from unlimited, high-quality streaming of their own music library with no listening or syncing limits. Oboe includes a full-featured web player that is compatible with all popular web browsers. The Oboe Locker can also be accessed from a growing number of wireless devices, DVRs and mobile phones. Other features of Oboe include:
* Free software to sync music between a user's Oboe Locker and the user's
computers
* Album artwork automatically added to a user's digital music collection
* Free browser plugins for easy "sideloading" of music from a web page
directly into an Oboe Locker
* Simple playlist creation and management tools with the Oboe Locker web
interface
"Oboe gives people access to their own music everywhere -- not just a closed device or PC," stated Michael Robertson, founder and CEO of MP3tunes. "And we're moving to a world where storage is as cheap as water so we can offer Oboe with unlimited storage for free."
Free unlimited music storage with Oboe is available now at mp3tunes.com. Initially, daily quotas will manage distribution of unlimited storage to ensure MP3tunes keeps up with demand and resulting storage requirements. However, all users will immediately receive one gigabyte of space while they wait and users are upgraded to unlimited space on a first-come-first-served basis.
MP3tunes' free, unlimited Oboe Locker will be supported by text, audio and video advertising and holds individual music files up to 10 MB each, ideal for storing most popular music. Users with larger music files, typical of jazz, classical and DJ mixes, can opt for Oboe Premium that permits files up to 50 MB each, at just $39.95 per year. Oboe Premium users enjoy an ad-free locker experience, with unrestricted viewing of album cover art and complete access to customer support. The Oboe Premium Locker also includes exclusive access to a user's Oboe Locker through a growing number of wireless and home entertainment devices.
