RCA Music Group Announces Grammy Wins at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards

Carrie Underwood Wins Three Awards including Best New Artist

Christina Aguilera Wins Best Female Pop Vocal for 'Ain't No Other Man'

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Arista Records superstar Carrie Underwood picked up three trophies tonight at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, including the coveted Best New Artist Award. Her Number One hit single, "Jesus, Take The Wheel," won the awards for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song (written by Brett James, Hillar Lindsey and Gordie Sampson). Released in late 2005, Carrie Underwood's Arista debut album, Some Hearts, has sold nearly five million copies and spun off three additional Number One Country singles: "Inside Your Heaven," "Don't Forget To Remember Me" and "Before He Cheats." Carrie's performance as part of the Eagles and Bob Wills tribute was a highlight of the Grammy telecast.

RCA recording star Christina Aguilera took home a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for the track "Ain't No Other Man," from her platinum-plus double CD Back To The Basics. This is Christina's third Grammy award, and second win in this category following her 2003 award for "Beautiful." Her other Grammy wins include Best New Artist in 1999 and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 2001. Christina's performance of "It's a Man's Man's Man's World" in tribute to James Brown was an electrifying moment during the broadcast.

RCA Music Group recording artists Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Hudson served as presenters on the Grammy Awards telecast. Foxx presented the first award of the night for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, and Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee Jennifer Hudson introduced Justin Timberlake and the winner of the special event entitled "My Grammy Moment."
