MATCH Restaurant and Lounge Celebrates First Anniversary with Performances by World-Renowned Disc Jockey Stephane Pompougnac

BOSTON, Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The restaurant/lounge MATCH - Burgers & Martinis (http://www.matchbackbay.com/) is marking the first anniversary of its arrival on Boston's restaurant scene with two parties featuring live performances by world-renowned French disc jockey and music guru Stephane Pompougnac.

The first MATCH anniversary party will be an invitation-only VIP event on Wednesday, September 27, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Each VIP can bring one guest to enjoy passed hors d'oeuvres and an open bar as well as Pompougnac's smooth lounge/jazz mixes. On Thursday, September 28, MATCH will treat the general public to another Pompougnac performance. (Cash bar and menu available.)

Pompougnac is an influential figure in Parisian nightlife and one of the most popular internationally known disc jockeys, spreading music "a la francaise." Besides composing and producing his own music, he has worked with luminaries such as Madonna and performed in venues all over the world, including the Cannes premiere of "Moulin Rouge" starring Nicole Kidman and Cameron Diaz's Bamboo Bar in Miami.

However, Pompougnac may be best known for his skill in mixing lounge jazz/lounge, dub, Latin and electro rhythms for guests at the Hotel Costes in Paris. In fact, for international music lovers, Hotel Costes is the name for a series of compilations mixed by Pompougnac. Now, Pompougnac will play those Hotel Costes music mixes for guests of MATCH.

Indeed, the restaurant/lounge's regular soundtrack features hipster and electro vibes, which contribute to what the Boston Herald has referred to as an "uber cool mood." Although MATCH has a full menu, its signature offering is exotic miniburgers paired with creatively mixed martinis. The three-ounce burgers come in a variety of decadent but affordable choices, while the martini selection features 10 varieties served in the shaker, allowing guests to pour their beverage when they like.
