TI Highlights Advancement of Digital Cinema Industry at ShoWest
Digital Cinema Pioneers Recognized; DLP Cinema(R) Technology Utilized Throughout Motion Picture Tradeshow
LAS VEGAS, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Instruments (NYSE:TXN) (TI) and its customers this week will highlight the advancement of the digital cinema industry at ShoWest, the largest annual convention for the motion picture industry. DLP Cinema(R) technology from TI will be utilized throughout the tradeshow, with digital screenings of three upcoming studio summer release movies, multiple digital product reel presentations, and a special presentation looking at the past, present and future of digital cinema. In addition, this will be the fifth consecutive year that TI and its DLP Cinema Products division has served as corporate sponsor of ShoWest.
This year's ShoWest marks a turning point in digital cinema advancement. TI announced this week that 1,195 DLP Cinema projectors from customers Barco, Christie and NEC are now deployed worldwide, and up to 33,000 additional digital cinema systems are scheduled to deploy in North American in the next few years. During its look into the past, present and future of digital cinema, ShoWest will recognize the following individuals with Digital Cinema Pioneer Awards for their extensive contributions to the advancement of the industry, all key contributors in propelling the industry to where it is today:

March 16, 11 a.m., projected with a Christie CP2000 DLP Cinema
projector.
* Digital Screenings of Warner Bros.' Product Reel: Thursday, March 16,
2:30 p.m., utilizing Christie CP2000 and NEC iS8-2K DLP Cinema
projectors.
