'Don't Come Knocking' Premiere Coming to Butte

Starz Entertainment Group and Bresnan Communications Bring the Award-Winning Wim Wenders Masterpiece From Sony Pictures Classics to the Town Where It Was Filmed

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. and PURCHASE, N.Y., March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Starz Entertainment Group LLC (SEG) and Bresnan Communications (Bresnan) announced today that they will be hosting the premiere of "Don't Come Knocking" in Butte, Montana on Friday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. A limited number of complimentary tickets will be made available to the residents of Butte and surrounding areas, with the event taking place at the glamorous historic Mother Lode Theater in downtown Butte.

Much of the movie was filmed in Butte, and several local residents served on the crew and as extras. "When we learned how involved the people of Butte were in the making of this movie by the incredible director, Wim Wenders, we wanted to ensure they had an opportunity to see their own town and hard work on the big screen," said Robert B. Clasen, president and CEO of SEG. "We have worked with Bresnan in the past in the mountain states, and are pleased to bring two of our great partners together, Bresnan and Sony Pictures Classics, to make this event possible."

Sony Pictures Classics' "Don't Come Knocking" was directed by the world-renowned Wim Wenders who will be attending the premiere, and stars Sam Shepard, Jessica Lange, Tim Roth, Sarah Polley, Eva Marie Saint among others. The movie has been nominated for the Golden Palm Award at this year's Cannes Film Festival, and was honored with the Best Cinematographer honor at the 2006 European Film Awards. The movie follows a troubled Howard Spence played by Shepard, a former Western movie star who has seen better days.

Tickets will be available at The Mother Lode Theater box office on Wednesday, March 15, starting at 10 a.m. while supplies last. Tickets are on a first-come, first-serve basis, and there is a limit of two tickets per person. No one under the age of 17 will be admitted into the theater without a parent or guardian. Box office hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Mother Lode Theater will be closed on Friday, March 17, and Saturday, March 18.
