A Small Feel Good Film and Impressive War Movie Break Ground

LOS ANGELES, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- On March 24 two new distinct movies open at LAEMMLE Cinemas in Los Angeles: "Buddha Wild Monk in the Hut" by Actress and Director Anna Wilding and "The Fallen" by Ari Taub. Hot on the heels of a very independent Oscar season, these two independent films kick off their box office debut with a double premiere on 24 March 2006 at the Laemmle Theatre Fairfax.

"Buddha Wild Monk in the Hut," a "fascinating and beautifully shot small feel good movie," stars an entertaining narration by beautiful actress and helmer Anna Wilding. Wilding's delivery style has been described as "a mixture of seriousness and humor that is important contrast to the monks words."

"Buddha Wild" is a modest film that subtly discusses issues of war and religion, the role of women in Asia and at its heart takes us inside the Asian culture and Buddhist missionary life. The film has not been released to festivals. Anna Wilding directs and produces for Carpe Diem Films.

"The Fallen" by Ari Taub has won several Film Festival awards including one at the Milan Film Festival in 2005. Described by the NY Times as featuring an "Impressive cast" and by Time Out New York as "a compelling indie war movie," "The Fallen" tells the story of three armies, German, Italian and American, brought together on the Gothic Line in Italy in World War Two. The film focuses on the stories of the soldiers themselves giving three different viewpoints of the war. Ari Taub directs and produces for Hit and Run Productions.

Tickets can be purchased at http://www.laemmle.com/, Fairfax 3, 24 March through to 30 March 2006. The films' double premiere is sponsored by http://www.teagarden.com/, Bliss Limousines and http://www.yogitimes.com/.
