Virgin America Celebrates First Flight to Philadelphia With Star-Studded Red Carpet Launch Party Hosted by Sir Richard Branson at Hotel Palomar

WHAT: Virgin America, the award-winning domestic airline, is celebrating the launch of its new low-fare, upscale flights to Philadelphia with a star-studded red carpet launch bash at Downtown Philadelphia hotspot - Hotel Palomar, a Kimpton Hotel, to celebrate its first flight from the West Coast. Virgin America will be the first new U.S. airline to launch service at PHL in eight years. To celebrate its new service to Philadelphia, Virgin America teamed up with FX's hit show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia to offer fans the chance to join the show's sports-crazed Greenman and castmember Glenn Howerton for the ultimate tailgate - celebrating the touch-down of the first Virgin 'tail' at PHL before being whisked away to the luxurious Hotel Palomar for the airline's red carpet fete - where DJ Jazzy Jeff will be spinning for party guests including actor Glenn Howerton, hip hop artist Wiz Khalifa, model/actress/singer Amber Rose, Academy Award nominee,Terrence Howard and filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan.

Known for its mood-lit cabins and high-tech features, Virgin America has swept the major awards, including "Best Domestic Airline" in Conde Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards and Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards.
