Plum TV's Alison Chace Spotlights Hamptons International Film Festival

Plum TV's Alison Chace Spotlights Hamptons International Film Festival

NEW YORK, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- If you missed the films, celebrities, insider parties and back room conversations at this year's Hamptons Film Festival, you can catch it all on Plum TV's "Spotlight" with Alison Chace. "Spotlight: Hampton's International Film Festival" -- a two-part special featuring all the exclusive interviews and insider conversations of the 16th annual event -- will begin airing across the Plum's network from the Hamptons to South Beach Saturday, October 25.

The special includes interviews with Amy Redford, daughter of Robert Redford, who made her directorial debut with "The Guitar," a story of a woman diagnosed with a terminal disease who decides to make the most of her time, and enduring beauty, Jacqueline Bisset, whose new film "An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving" premiered at the festival. Chace also nabs longtime chronicler of the rich and famous, Dominick Dunne, whose documentary "After the Party" is particularly apropos for the Hamptons scene, and Kate Mara, winner of 'rising stars' honors in "Stone of Destiny." Of Mara, who played Heath Ledger's daughter in Brokeback Mountain, Chace says "A year from now, you will see her on every magazine cover in the country." Chace conducts the interviews in her inimitable style -- a little bit "e" (in a nod to entertainment television) with a little bit "b" (the probing Barbara Walters style for which Chace is increasingly known).

In an unrelated venture, in anticipation of the film launch of He's Just Not That Into You starring Jennifer Aniston, Chace is launching a new info-tainment web series called Wake Up To A Break Up. Her 'Sex and the City-genre' webisodes target urban, unmarried women age 18-39 searching for answers or escape from romance gone wrong. Karen Quinn, witty chick-lit author of Holly Would Dream and The Ivy Chronicles, is a contributor.

The popular annual Hamptons International Film Festival, known for exhibiting films that express fresh voices and differing global perspectives, took place Wednesday, October 15 through Sunday, October 19, 2008.
