Hearst-Argyle Sets Date for Annual Shareholders' Meeting

NEW YORK, Feb. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hearst-Argyle Television, Inc. (NYSE:HTV) announced today that it will hold its annual meeting of shareholders on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time, in New York City, for shareholders of record as of March 21, 2008.

The meeting will be Webcast live in listen-only mode. Parties interested in listening to the Webcast can do so from the Company's Web site, www.hearstargyle.com, in the "Investor Relations" section.

The Company also announced that the deadline for receipt of stockholder proposals in connection with the 2009 annual meeting is December 3, 2008.
