Nassiri's Holiday Collection Aims to Spread Harmony, Hope & Healing Throughout the World
Timeless songs from the peace artist available at iTunes November 27
LAS VEGAS, Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Peace artist Nassiri uses music to spread his message of peace, love, compassion, harmony and healing throughout the world. On Tuesday, November 27th, he released the Holiday Collection digitally via iTunes and his own website (http://www.nassiri.com/). The three festive songs -- "Season's Greetings," "Merry Christmas To You" and "Happy Birthday, Jesus" -- were written and produced by Nassiri in his Las Vegas recording studio.
The tracks on Holiday Collection unite inviting pop melodies with World Music instrumentation, which fosters a universal appeal. Nassiri's meditative voice serves as a gentle guide and in sections acquiesces to the angelic voices of children. The songs are infectious and written with simplicity in mind so that people of all ages can easily sing along. In fact, instrumental versions of each song are also available so they can be sung with loved ones at holiday gatherings.
"I wanted to create a spiritual message for this season of hope and joy and believe my words and music convey that message in these new holiday songs. Positive music can unite all humanity and can be very therapeutic," explained Nassiri. "The songs are joyful and I hope you and your family will make lasting holiday memories for years to come by singing these timeless songs."
The Holiday Collection prefaces the spring 2008 release of Nassiri's Love Sees No Color album on the artist's Nassiri Music record label. The title track features Nassiri singing with children in 15 different languages in 18 different countries. Eighteen producers and directors captured over 800 hours of video footage documenting these extraordinary recording sessions, including shots of Nassiri's meetings with world leaders such as Nelson Mandela. Locations included some of the most iconic landmarks in the world: the Wall of Separation that divides Israel and Palestine, the Eiffel Tower, the Holocaust Memorial, and the ancient Rome Coliseum. The crew was the first to film on the historical grounds of the Taj Mahal and within the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem inside the Vatican, and at the Statue of Liberty since September 11, 2001. Other locations included the Great Wall of China, the Pyramids and the Great Sphinx in Egypt, the ancient city of Persepolis and Osaka Castle in Japan. The footage was assembled in a short that premiered at this year's Cannes Film Festival and won the World Visionary award at the Boston Film Festival in September. Cher hosted the Los Angeles debut of the film at a benefit dinner held Wednesday (November 28th).
