The Salvation Army Begins Adoption Proceedings for 1,500 Families
ROSEVILLE, Minn., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by The Salvation Army:
Who: The Salvation Army, 102.9 Lite FM
What: Adopt-A-Family Radiothon. Listeners can call 651-746-3577 to purchase gifts and grocery gift cards for needy families, and later deliver the goods personally.
Where: Volunteers will take calls at The Salvation Army in Roseville (address at top).
When: Dec. 5 & 6, 5 a.m. - 7 p.m.
The Salvation Army and 102.9 Lite FM are asking Twin Cities residents to help provide toys and food to about 1,500 families through the Adopt-A-Family Radiothon.
Those who wish to Adopt a Family must call 651-746-3577 during the radiothon, and will be asked to purchase a grocery gift certificate and new gifts for each child in the adopted family. The minimum donation is $50.
Sponsors will later contact their adopted families to arrange delivery times. Sponsors will deliver the gifts themselves by Dec. 19.
Adopt-A-Family is the perfect way to help low-income families and make their Christmas special.
