COACHELLA, Calif., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Two of Chinese cinema's most celebrated actresses will appear in concert together at Spotlight 29 Casino. Ivy Ling Po and Hu Chin perform in the casino's Spotlight Showroom on January 5.

Ivy Ling Po is a multiple award-winning actress and has appeared in dozens upon dozens of films in nearly every genre imaginable. Since her debut in 1951's "Love of Young People," she has been illuminating the film screen, becoming a favorite of critics and audiences alike, even having a special film award created for her.

Hu Chin is one of Chinese cinema's most loved comedians. Well-known as the 1970s "sassiest sexy kitten," Hu Chin's lively acting flair, and noticeably skimpy costumes, catapulted her to stardom and starring roles in more than 25 films in just one 2-year period.

In 2002, Ivy Ling Po and Hu Chin joined forces along with a talent troupe of their fellow actors in "Butterfly Lovers 40 Live Performance," a stage adaptation of Li Han Hsiang huangmei dao classic "Love Eternal," in which Ivy Ling Po had starred earlier in her career. The two later relied on each other as both suffered through and survived breast cancer.

The evening is hosted by Chinese cinema heartthrob and Jackie Chan's sidekick Charlie Ching.
