Family Services Agency Kicks off the Summer with a Free Children's Music Festival

GAITHERSBURG, Md., June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The Family Services Agency, Inc. is proud to present its 3rd. Annual Musiganza, a free community-based family fun day which will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Bohrer Park, Summit Hill Farm in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Geared towards children ages 3-10, Musiganza features live music, the Home Depot Craft Pavilion, the Family Services Agency Activity Area, face painting, balloon making and much more. Picnic lunches are welcome or guests can purchase snack items from Country Cone at family friendly prices.

Stage acts include Grammy winners Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer, Tom Paxton, and Baltimore-based Milkshake.

Two time Grammy Award winners Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer are celebrating
20+ years of performing music together. These two remarkable entertainers
have managed to blend elements of music and comedy, instrument making,
history lessons, creative conflict resolution and trick roping into one of
the most contagiously high-spirited children's and family shows around.
Their live performances have set the standard for family participation and
fun while their recordings have inspired kids, parents, grandparents,
teachers and friends to sing together and enjoy the magic of music.

Milkshake is a band on a mission: to create great rock music for kids.
From the release of their first CD Happy Songs, it was clear that
Milkshake was an exciting departure from traditional kids' music, creating
music that appeals to both kids and their parents, even after listening to
the same CD five times in a row. Their colorful, energetic videos have
been featured on Noggin's Jack's Big Music Show and ToddWorld on Discovery
Kids.

Grammy nominated folk singer Tom Paxton has become a voice of his generation, addressing issues of injustice and inhumanity, and celebrating the most tender bonds of family, friends, and community. His children's music is marked by its simplicity, unforced, kid-pleasing humor and its playful lilt which lights up his audience.
