AT&T Highlights Its Popular Products and Messaging Applications During the Nationwide Tour
SAN ANTONIO, June 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) announced today that AT&T will be the presenting sponsor of the 2007 Vans Warped Tour. Now in its 13th year, the Vans Warped Tour has been helping merge mainstream with punk, skateboarding and extreme-sports lifestyles. Kicking off in Pomona, Calif., on June 29, AT&T will be the presenting sponsor on all U.S. dates, 41 in all, through Aug. 25 in Los Angeles.
This is the fourth year that AT&T has been a sponsor of the Vans Warped Tour. In 2007, AT&T has enhanced its presence through special Warped Tour applications, product demonstrations, branded giveaways and exclusive offerings for AT&T customers.
AT&T will provide a VIP Lounge at the tour sites exclusively for AT&T wireless customers. These interactive areas will feature kiosks with product demonstrations, such as AT&T Mobile Music, MySpace Mobile, My Veepers Messaging as well as complimentary Monster Energy Drink water and AT&T handset demos, which feature the Nokia N75 and Samsung SGH-a717 and SGH-a727. The tour will also present the AT&T Signing Stage, where fans can meet and greet Warped Tour band members from Chiodos, Killswitch Engage, Paramore, The Almost and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
For the parents of Vans Warped Tour fans who may not be squeezing their way to the front row, AT&T will host a reverse day care tent to give parents the chance to relax, enjoy a cool beverage and to learn about the latest wireless applications. Brand ambassadors will educate parents on the TXT to Connect program by holding brief SMS 101 demos and contests, which are geared toward connecting parents and teens.
AT&T will also hold exclusive Backstage Acoustic Sets that feature a Warped Tour band in six markets throughout the tour. The company will reward 30 AT&T customers on-site and select additional winners through local market promotions.
