Myers Named President/COO at Starz Entertainment

EVP/CFO Promoted, Sees New Growth Opportunities

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Aug. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Starz Entertainment Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert B. Clasen today announced the promotion of William D. Myers to the newly created position of president and chief operating officer of the premium television company. Myers had been executive vice president and chief financial officer of the company.

In his new position, Myers has full responsibility for all day-to-day operations of the business. He reports directly to Clasen.

"He has a thorough understanding of our affiliates and will be strongly supportive of efforts to develop new marketing techniques and new products that will attract and retain subscribers. Myers joined Starz in May, 2002, as senior vice president of finance and CFO, bringing to the company more than 20 years of experience in financial management, global finance, capital management and accounting. He was promoted to executive vice president in 2004. Prior to joining Starz, he was executive vice president, CFO and treasurer of On Command Corporation, a majority-owned subsidiary of Liberty Satellite and Technology, Inc. His background and previous experience also includes executive management positions with cable, satellite and technology companies including Tele-Communications Inc., TCI Satellite Entertainment and Primestar Inc.

Myers holds a BA in Accounting from New Mexico State University and began his career at KPMG Peat Marwick. He lives with his wife, Dana, and two daughters in Colorado.
