DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The cast of ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" will help Ford (NYSE:F) escalate its long-standing efforts to the fight against breast cancer by appearing in an integrated communication campaign designed to drive awareness of the Warriors in Pink -- Powered by Ford initiative, which raises funds for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Ford has now supported the Komen Foundation for 12 years and has contributed more than $87 million in gifts and in-kind donations.
The doctors and interns of Seattle Grace Hospital suit up and show their passion for Ford's Warriors in Pink clothing with a series of ads debuting September 4.
Because breast cancer affects everyone, "Grey's Anatomy" characters such as Derek Shepherd, Preston Burke, George O'Malley, Alex Karev, Richard Webber, Callie Torres, Cristina Yang, Miranda Bailey and Addison Shepherd appear in the ad. Part of a multi-faceted campaign supporting the Komen Foundation, the upcoming ads will run in Conde Nast, Meredith, Rodale, Martha Stewart Omnimedia and Time, Inc. publications this fall, including Entertainment Weekly, In Style, People, People en Espanol, Real Simple, Essence, Vanity Fair, Better Homes & Gardens, Fitness, Beyond, Health, Golf for Women, Glamour, More, O The Oprah Magazine, Redbook, Women's Health, Body & Soul, Marie Claire, More, Parenting, Self, Shape, Vogue and Lucky Magazine.

Komen Race for the Cure(R) Series and The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
