AP Archive Brings Global News and Personalities to Getty Images' Customers; BLOOMimage and FilmDisc Offer Expanded Range of Royalty-Free Content

SEATTLE, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Getty Images, Inc. (NYSE:GYI) today announced a distribution partnership with AP Archive, the third new major film collection added to the company's growing roster in the past month. As the world's most established news, sports and entertainment video source, AP Archive strengthens Getty Images' portfolio with powerful footage of historical events such as Hurricane Katrina and the Southeast Asian tsunami, as well as iconic personalities including the Dalai Lama, President Clinton and Nelson Mandela. Leveraging Getty Images' relationships with the creative industry adds an additional distribution path for AP Archive content.
