Fabulous Fashion, Food and Fun for a Good Cause; Project Bundle Up Slates First Winter Coat Fashion Show
PITTSBURGH, Aug. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Enjoy a delicious lunch and get a sneak peek at this season's latest winter coat styles. The Salvation Army and WTAE-TV Channel 4's Project Bundle-Up, along with the Art Institute of Pittsburgh's Fashion & Retail Management program is excited to announce the first Winter Coat Fashion Show: "Warm Coats, Cold Winters, Hot Fashion Show." Join the on-air personalities from WTAE-TV Channel 4, along with their families for an afternoon of fun and fellowship that will raise needed dollars for Project Bundle-Up.
Slated for Sunday, September 10th from noon to 4:00 pm, this fundraiser will begin with a delicious sit-down lunch prepared by Chef Ricky of McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant at the Southside Works. Afterward, the Soffer Organization invites guests to enjoy fashions courtesy of Kmart, Wal-Mart, Boscov's, and Roberta Weissburg Leathers. WTAE-TV Channel 4 personalities and their children will offer their services as the event's models. The complete package $50 per person ticket includes lunch, a gift bag, the fashion show, vendor viewing and an invitation to a silent auction featuring a host of exclusive items. Less expensive tickets for $25 per person will also be available and include the fashion show, vendor viewing and silent auction. Sammar Accessories will feature and sell top-name designer handbags & sunglasses. You'll also enjoy on-site demonstrations for hair and make-up. 100% of the proceeds will benefit The Salvation Army and WTAE-TV's Project Bundle-Up.
Initiated in 1986, The Salvation Army and WTAE-TV Channel 4's Project Bundle-Up is a joint community service effort that pairs more than 1,000 volunteers each year with Western Pennsylvania needy children and seniors for a personal shopping experience. Project Bundle-Up provides new winter coats, hats, scarves, mittens and boots. Since its inception twenty years ago, Project Bundle-Up has raised more than $9 million and has provided new winter outerwear to more than 182,500 individuals.
