Marc Anthony Picks the Hot Heads at the Oscars, Hollywood's Mane Event

"The stars were polished and shining brightly on the red carpet," says Marc who took up residence in Beverly Hills luxury Peninsula hotel for the week leading up to the Oscars. "There were many who won my award for best headliner and a few who might have best stayed in the shadows."
There were a wide range of styles on the red carpet, Marc Anthony lays out the hits and misses.
Best Overall Style -- Michelle Williams was by far the most outstanding. She was perfect, she really blossomed this year and is a far cry from the days of Dawson's Creek.
Best Polished style -- Felicity Huffman looked the best she has ever looked. Her hair was perfectly polished with an interesting style that was classic but made current with a sexy side swept front and diamond broach crowning the look.
Best Updo -- Jessica Alba is stunning. Her hair was unique in that she kept it back off her face and up off her neck. It was a perfect blend of volume and delicate structure with subtle jewels placed throughout. It was understated while calling attention to her striking features.
Best Side-Swept Look -- Many women on the red carpet were wearing a glamorous side swept bun or twist but Naomi Watts was by far the best. She had a truly sophisticated look with that unstructured bun, which was so delicately placed off center to the nape of her neck.
Best Accessorized Style -- There was a lot of sparkle on the red carpet with diamond studded jewels adorning the hair of stars like Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba and Felicity Huffman but Reese Witherspoon really did it best. She had a beautifully simple style that was wonderfully adorned with a simple diamond beret gently tucked into the side of her bun.
Best Straight Style -- Jennifer Aniston always looks amazing, and her simple straight locks were a testament to her striking beauty.
Best Shortcut -- Dame Judy Dench is so regal. I love the way she has such a youthful modern spin on her sophisticated style.
Best Flowing Locks -- Salma Hayek had a disheveled Veronica Lake feel. The deep part and smooth wave gave a real sultry look to an already sexy woman.
Best Romantic Look -- Uma Thurman is the epitome of modern elegance. Her radiant beauty was accentuated by wearing her hair off the face. The combination of volume, subtle flowing waves and a hint of separation made this look exceptional.
Best Ponytail -- The ponytail is back in the glamour category. We saw it all over the red carpet, but I really like the way Jada Pinkett Smith wore it. She had this seasons side swept front, pulled into a smooth low ponytail at the nape.
Best Men's Style -- George Clooney. What can you really say about him? He is classic hot. His salt and pepper hair is so sexy with his classic style, classic tux, and crowd winning personality. And on a personal note, after spending time with Paul Haggis, preparing him the day before his big moment, I was so proud to see my fellow Canadian go home with two Oscars.
Would have done differently -- Keira Knightley is such a beautiful woman, her style just didn't do her justice. Her color was too brassy and her ponytail a little too undone. I love the idea of the ponytail, but I would have had it swept off the face to show off her beautiful cheekbones and given her a little volume at the crown to glitz up the look.
