'Jon Stewart' Oscar Spoof 'GAY AFTER TOMORROW' Gets 1.5 Million Downloads

Unseen 'BIN LADEN' Footage Revealed by World's Most Downloaded Short Filmmaker, Bret Carr

LOS ANGELES, March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Bret Carr, the controversial director/ star of feature film REVOLOUTION being released April 28th 2006, spoofs Oscar Host Jon Stewart by posting, "THE GAY AFTER TOMORROW" on the Internet this past Wednesday.

According to Mopictalent, a release consulting agency, Carr's spoof has generated 1.5 million downloads as of Pre-Oscar Saturday evening. The Jon Stewart spoof, available at http://www.revoloutionmovie.com/ begins with the title "ABC editorial - Jon Stewart's Oscar short - Edit 12".

The short then shows Carr, playing Jon Stewart imitating Carr's "Lou Benedetti," rescuing America from Bin Laden's "Gay After Tomorrow Bomb."

The short was released on Wednesday to Carr's fans from his "Passion of the Heist" spoof, which landed him the status of filmmaker of the month on the cover of the April 2004 movie industry trade paper, The Hollywood Reporter. Carr generated 12 million downloads for "Passion" on a production budget of $20 dollars.

The Jon Stewart introduction is a marketing ploy used by Carr to tie his short film into current events, as he has done successfully in the past not only with Passion, but also with "Fahrenheit 6911" which also generated 6 million hits and secured Carr's position as the world's most downloaded short filmmaker.

Bret Carr's alter ego, Lou Benedetti, is not only the star of the short films, but also the central character of the feature film, "REVOLOUTION" which Carr stars in and directs, being released April 28th in Los Angeles and New York. Carr's feature film is Co-written with Quinn Redeker, the Writer of Oscar-winner "The Deer Hunter" and co-writer Mary Helen Shashy, Carr has planned.

In an unprecedented movie marketing strategy, Carr's LOU character is being branded into national consciousness via the enormous traffic being driven to Carr's site: http://www.revoloutionmovie.com/

Carr's performance in REVO LOU TION contains what Oscar Winner Jane Fonda calls an, "Extraordinary" performance.

Carr's producer Stephen Polk, says, "Our unconventional marketing tactics are being rewarded because LOU is a magical character which should see Bret Carr nominated for Best Actor Oscar in 2007."
