ABC 7 Chicago and The League of Women Voters of Illinois Present First Televised Debate With All Five Republican Gubernatorial Candidates

WHO: ABC 7 Chicago, in conjunction with the League of Women Voters of
Illinois and the Illinois Broadcasters Association will broadcast

WHAT: "RACE FOR THE GOVERNOR: THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES
DEBATE" ABC 7 Chicago News Anchor/Reporter Ron Magers, will
moderate the first televised debate with all five of the
Republican gubernatorial candidates. Candidates invited to debate
include Bill Brady, Ron Gidwitz, Jim Oberweis, Andy Martin and
Judy Baar Topinka. Magers will be joined by a panel of
journalists including Andy Shaw, political reporter, ABC 7 News;
Laura Washington, award-winning journalist and DePaul University
professor; and Ben Calhoun deputy news director, Chicago Public
Radio, who will question candidates on pertinent issues.
