HBO, Kelli O'Donnell, Lambda Legal Set to Premiere a HBO Documentary Film
All Aboard! Rosie's Family Cruise
Set Sail With Rosie and Kelli O'Donnell on the First-Ever Gay Family Cruise
WHAT: HBO is joined by Kelli O'Donnell and Lambda Legal for the
Chicago premiere screening of the HBO Documentary Film All
Aboard! Rosie's Family Cruise. A panel discussion will
follow the buffet supper.
The series will debut Thursday, April 6, 8 p.m. ET
WHO: Parents of four, Rosie and Kelli O'Donnell dreamed of a
society free of discrimination. In 2004, they made that dream
come true when 1,500 people - gay, lesbian and straight,
young and old - set sail on an historic seven-day cruise to
the Caribbean on one of the largest cruise ships in the
world. In the process, these families found an oasis where
they could celebrate their individuality and shared ideals in
a safe and supportive environment. The documentary
chronicles this historic undertaking, offering a glimpse of a
society shaped by a truly diverse, inclusive network of
families.
The panel discussion following the dinner will be led by
Kelli O'Donnell and include a Chicago area couple married on
the ship, Shauna Raye and Elizabeth Ward. Also joining the
panel discussion will be Lambda Legal's Jim Madigan, a staff
attorney in the Midwest Regional Office of Lambda Legal.
Prior to joining Lambda Legal, Madigan was an associate in
the law firm of Goldberg, Kohn, Bell, Black, Rosenbloom &
Moritz, Ltd. in Chicago, Illinois.
