NEW YORK, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- WABC-TV is New York's # 1 station in Households, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49, Monday-Sunday Sign-On to Sign-Off, despite facing stiff competition from 17 nights of Olympics programming on WNBC-TV and several of its sister cable networks. This is according to Nielsen's February'06 NY sweeps report, in which Channel 7 wins with a 5.0 rating/12 share in HHs, a 2.5 rating/10 share in A25-54, and a 2.0 rating/ 9 share in A18-49, Mon-Sun 6am-2am.

"Eyewitness News" also delivers a gold medal performance for WABC-TV, attracting more HHs and A25-54 than the competing newscasts on WNBC-TV and WCBS-TV.* "Eyewitness News" notches wins with its editions at 5AM, 6AM, 12PM, 5PM, 6PM and 11PM.

In Primetime, "Dancing With Stars-Finale" delivers a 19.4 HH rating, beating every one of the 17 nights of Olympics primetime, including both Opening and Closing Ceremonies. "Grey's Anatomy" and "Desperate Housewives" each outperform the Olympics telecasts airing opposite them in HHs and A25-54.

- First Place News at 11pm - "Eyewitness News" is a quadruple winner,
taking the M-F and M-Sun races in both HHs and A25-54. It also is the
only newscast in the time period to show Feb'05 to Feb'06 ratings gains
in both HHs and A25-54. Anchored by Bill Ritter, Liz Cho, Sam Champion
and Scott Clark, the M-F edition of "Eyewitness News" beats its
competition with a 7.2 rating/12 share in HHs, and a 3.7 rating/10 share
in A25-54.

- First Place News at 6pm - "Eyewitness News" posts a 6.7 rating/14 share
in HHs and a 2.7 rating/11share in A25-54, beating the competing
newscasts on WNBC-TV, WCBS-TV and WNYW-TV. In A25-54, the 6pm
"Eyewitness News" holds a 59% rating and 57% share advantage over
"NewsChannel 4 at 6." Anchored by Bill Ritter, Liz Cho, Sam Champion
and Scott Clark, "Eyewitness News" finishes in first place in HH ratings
on all 20 weekdays it is telecast.

- First Place News at 5pm - "Eyewitness News" delivers a 6.8 rating/15
share in HHs and a 2.8 rating/14 share in A25-54, M-F. Anchored by
Diana Williams, Sade Baderinwa and Sam Champion, this is the only 5pm
news to show steady growth in A25-54, growing its rating by 22%, Nov'05-
Feb'06.

- First Place News at 5am - "Eyewitness News" notches a 1.2 rating/12
share for a first place finish in A25-54. Anchored by Lori Stokes,
Steve Bartelstein and Bill Evans, this is the only 5am newscast to show
growth in A25-54 in every book, Nov'05-Feb'06, for a total gain of 33%
in both rating and share.

- First Place News at 6am - "Eyewitness News" wins its morning news race
with a 3.7 rating/15 share in HHs and a 1.9 rating/14 share in A25-54.
It is the only 6am news to show Feb'05-Feb'06 rating and share growth in

- First Place Network News at 6:30pm - "ABC World News Tonight " is the
most-watched network news, delivering a 7.1 rating/13 share in HHs and a
2.8 rating/10 share in A25-54.

- Top-rated Primetime Programs - "Dancing With Stars-Finale," "Grey's
Anatomy," and "Desperate Housewives" respectively rank first, second and
third in HH ratings, outdistancing the likes of "Grammy Awards,"

period with a 4.7 rating/17 share in HHs, and a 2.0 rating/14 share in

- Top-rated Early Fringe Program - "Oprah Winfrey" ranks # 1 at 4pm with a
7.5 rating/18 share in HHs. Its 5.4 rating/26 share in Women 25-54
beats the combined deliveries of "Judge Judy" on WNBC-TV and "People's

- Top-rated Access Programs - "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune," deliver
a 10.2 rating/18 share and a 9.0 rating/15 share, respectively, in HHs,
