Exclusive Look at Walt Disney Pictures' 'The Shaggy Dog,' Plus Other Family-Friendly Furry-Films

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Get your bark on and "Raise the Woof" with Starz Kids & Family Thursday, March 9. In celebration of the March 10 theatrical release of Walt Disney Pictures' new family comedy "The Shaggy Dog," Starz Kids & Family presents an exclusive look at the film, plus other furry-films the family will enjoy starting at 7:40 p.m. (ET/PT).

Tim Allen transforms from family dad to family dog and back again in this fresh update of the Disney comedy classic, "The Shaggy Dog." It all begins when workaholic Dave Douglas (Allen) is accidentally infected with a top-secret, genetic-mutation serum. With new perked-up ears, and a front-row seat on the household carpet, Dave is able to gain a whole new perspective into his family's secrets and dreams. Now, he wants nothing more than to stop fetching and to return to fathering -- only first he'll have to stop the evil forces behind the serum ... in an adventure that will bring the whole family together. The film co-stars Kristin Davis, Zena Grey, Spencer Breslin, Robert Downey Jr., Danny Glover and Philip Baker Hall.

Starz Kids & Family will "Raise the Woof" Thursday, March 9 with exclusive footage and trailers from "The Shaggy Dog" throughout the evening and other furry-films including (all times are ET/PT):

* "On the Set: 'The Shaggy Dog'" (7:40 p.m., 11:10 p.m.) -- A
behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film "The Shaggy Dog"
featuring interviews with Allen and Glover.

* "Soccer Dog: European Cup" (8:00 p.m.) -- When an unexpected accident
leaves a young boy (Jake Thomas) motherless, he must travel from
America to live with his estranged father (Nick Moran) in Scotland.
There he finds himself teaming up with Kimble, a scientifically
enhanced soccer-playing dog that has escaped from the evil scientists
who designed him. Father, son and the incredible soccer dog all band
together to bring victory and pride to the downtrodden town. The film
co-stars Lori Heuring, Scott Cleverdon and Orson Bean.

* "Air Bud" (9:30 p.m.) -- Young Josh (Kevin Zegers) is new in town and
too shy to try out for the basketball team. Then he meets Buddy, a
runaway golden retriever who surprises him with the ability to score
baskets. Josh and Buddy make the school team and become stars. The
media frenzy attracts Buddy's greedy former owner (Michael Jeter), who
wants to cash in on the dog's notoriety. Boy and dog must keep one
step ahead of him -- while rallying their school team to the state
finals. The film co-stars Wendy Makkena and Bill Cobbs.
