STAIND to Play for Military Personnel in Germany during 'Welcome Home' Events

ARLINGTON, Va., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Multi-platinum rock band STAIND will perform for service members in Germany during three special concerts, sponsored by the USO, Installation Management Agency-Europe's Morale Welfare and Recreation office and AKA Productions. Performance dates are U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Mannheim on March 3; USAG Franconia on March 16; and USAG Baumholder on March 17. The shows at Mannheim and Franconia (Kitzingen) are part of "Welcome Home" celebrations for troops returning from combat duty in the Persian Gulf Region. The group also will "meet and greet" service members and their families as time permits.

STAIND consists of lead singer Aaron Lewis, guitarist Mike Mushok, drummer Jon Wysocki and bassist Johnny April. "CHAPTER V" (Flip/Atlantic), the band's fifth album, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 this past August, marking the Massachusetts-based band's third consecutive chart-topper. The album follows 2003's critically acclaimed "14 shades of grey" and 2001's quintuple platinum "BREAK THE CYCLE," both of which also entered the Billboard 200 in the #1 spot.

The album has thus far yielded three radio smashes -- the #1 multi-format smash, "Right Here," the top ten Rock/Active Rock track "Falling" and the latest single, "Everything Changes," which is currently ascending the airplay chart at Active Rock outlets nationwide. "Right Here" marked the band's fourth #1 radio track to date, following "For You," "It's Been Awhile" and "So Far Away."
