RCA Taps Promo Only MPE to Digitally Deliver New Dave Matthews Band Single 'American Baby' to Radio First; Single Arrives 48 Hours Before CD

ORLANDO, Fla., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Promo Only and tech partner Destiny Media Technologies announced today that RCA Music Group has selected Promo Only MPE to digitally distribute to radio the newest track from Dave Matthews Band, titled "American Baby." The single will first debut on AOL First Listen on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 but will then be uploaded to the Promo Only MPE server and distributed to those subscribers in the appropriate formats at radio stations across the country soon after. The single will be available to Promo Only MPE users more than 2 days prior to the physical CD.

Promo Only MPE is currently in use by such radio groups as Cumulus, Infinity, Cox, Citadel, Radio One, Emmis, Entercom, XM, Sirius, Journal, ABC, DMX, Disney, Univision, Westwood One, Regent, Next Media and other smaller media groups. Additionally, Universal Music Group is currently under contract to use the Promo Only MPE System exclusively to electronically deliver both preview and virtual CD-quality audio files to every US major market radio station. Promo Only MPE tracks distributed to date include those from Will Smith, U2, Mariah Carey, Three Doors Down and 50 Cent among many others. Clear Channel has been supporting the Promo Only MPE system since September of 2004 and has authorized its use in all of its US stations.

"Dave Matthews Band is one of the biggest acts in music today and to have RCA come to us to get the track out says a lot for the effectiveness of the MPE system," said Dean Ernst, Director of the MPE project.

"Promo Only MPE is a great service to get our music out in a timely and effective manner," said Adrian Moreira, VP Adult Format Promotion. "Promo Only MPE has truly been at the leading edge as we move towards a vision of the future where our music is ideally delivered to radio instantaneously, unencumbered by the constraints and expense of physical CD-pros."

Promo Only MPE is a highly sophisticated security system, which locks down the distributed content and allows labels to track who is accessing their property. Each song is uniquely encrypted so that only those with the MPE program can access it. In addition, an ID code specific to each individual user is applied when a song is requested; meaning that only registered users can access the song and, once installed, the ID cannot be moved to any other computer.

Promo Only MPE is the music industry's most secure option for digital music delivery. Radio stations can request an account for the Promo Only MPE service by filling out the online form at http://promoonlympe.com/registration.html. Promo Only MPE is a product of Destiny Media Technologies and is marketed and distributed by Promo Only.
