Rising Gas Prices Affect Vehicle Purchase Decisions
Gas prices in the U-S are climbing steadily again with the national average already more than two dollars a gallon. Experts in the industry are currently forecasting that gas prices will reach the three dollar mark by summer. A recent study from Harris Interactive and Kelley Blue Book Marketing Research indicated that 41 percent of in-market car buyers have either changed their minds or are thinking strongly about vehicles they normally wouldn't consider due to high gas prices. And in February 2005, 30 percent of car buyers indicated that if gas prices rose a mere 25 cents (based on a national average of $1.99 per gallon for regular unleaded), they would seriously consider a more fuel efficient vehicle.

Marlon Brando's Private Island to Be Site of New Luxury Eco-Hotel
The French Polynesian atoll of Tetiaroa, owned by the late Marlon Brando, is to be the site of a lavish new eco-hotel, called The Brando. Slated to open in 2008, and consisting of 30 deluxe fares (villas), it will be the only hotel on Tetiaroa. The project is being overseen by Tahiti Beachcomber S-A, whose C-E-O Richard Bailey, had been in contact with the actor for a number of years and has continued meeting with the Brando Estate to fulfill Brando and Bailey's joint vision for an environmentally enlightened project.
