Wachovia Corporation's Partnership with Ulanguzi Creative Strategies Breathes Life Into Information for Financial Centers

RALEIGH, N.C., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- On February 1, 2005, Wachovia Corporation launched a new way to identify business opportunities and solutions using its Local Market Optimization application -- a Web-based portal providing an innovative process to deliver interactive information to its financial centers -- developed by Ulanguzi Creative Strategies.

"The intent of this application is to get information impacting customers and sales to financial center managers in a format that interprets data quickly, compares performance to other financial centers, and suggests proven solutions and best practices to improve sales and the customer experience."

Wachovia came to Ulanguzi asking for a solution that would deliver large amounts of information to executives and financial centers in an easy-to- comprehend, portable format. Previously, this information was communicated using email and standard office applications, a method that was cumbersome and difficult to manage. Ulanguzi developed a web-based application that could be accessed from anywhere within Wachovia's corporate network and could be continuously kept up-to-date. The tool also enables financial center managers to adjust their sales plans based on the success of others, identify opportunities to improve performance, and track success.

"Because Ulanguzi understood our needs and had a deep knowledge of strategic process design, they brought unique skills to the table. We used a team approach to problem solving that directly resulted in the application's successful implementation," praised Jackson. Beyond the technical requirements of broad access, Ulanguzi's focus was to communicate complex statistical information in a way that gives executives an instant overview of a variety of critical metrics. The application reads, summarizes and presents pertinent information for a particular financial center - alerting managers to potential problems and suggesting strategies that can be taken to strengthen individual areas.

Wachovia's pilot of the application was successful, resulting in the February company-wide launch application.
