Redmond Magazine Readers Choose Acronis True Image as a Product They Love
IRVINE, Calif. and SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Readers of Redmond magazine named Acronis True Image preferred product for "Drive Imaging," according to results published in the January 2005 "Best of the Best" issue.
"The level of response, and the passion that our readers exhibited in their comments, was fantastic," said Lafe Low, executive editor for Redmond magazine. "Clearly, our readers feel very strongly about the products they use day in and day out."
Redmond readers voted for their favorite products in 42 categories. The voting took place during a 10-day period in November. More than 2,000 readers voted for the products that they use to help them get their jobs done. "We called it 'Best of the Best' because the products in our market are solid, innovative, and essential. All of our winners are truly outstanding," commented Doug Barney, editor in chief of Redmond.
By keeping the survey live for a limited time, and pushing the invitation to participate out to select newsletter subscriber lists, the editors were able to keep the results clean and free of any inappropriate interactions. "The lists we mailed to kept any ballot-box stuffing to a minimum," said Low. The editors also scoured the final results looking for any patterns that would indicate an attempt to alter the outcome.
"Acronis is honored to be included in such readers' choice competitions," said Max Tsypliaev, CEO of Acronis. "When users speak, it's very important to listen. In this case, they tell us they want the ease of use, combined with the industry's most powerful disk imaging and bare-metal restore capabilities of Acronis True Image. Our developers not only strive to produce best-of-breed products, but they also listen to the users and implement their recommendations to further improve and enhance the product capabilities to meet emerging systems and networking requirements."
"Readers of Redmond magazine are among the industry's most demanding," said Stephen Lawton, marketing director for Acronis. "These are highly skilled IT directors and network managers, among the top tier in their profession, and they know the difference between quality products and hype."
