First Wine Festival in Park City History to Come February 10 - 13, 2005
PARK CITY, Utah, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Park City Culinary, Wine & Ski Classic will offer a unique opportunity for culinary and wine connoisseurs, vintners and skiers from across the country to mingle in an extraordinary setting. The Park City Culinary, Wine & Ski Classic, February 10 - 13, 2005 will support the worthy cause of the National Ability Center, one of the leading providers of sports and recreational programs for people with disabilities in the world.
This four-day weekend begins with a vintner reception on Thursday night (The Hamlet Companies A Taste of Deer Valley), accelerating on Friday morning with all-ability skiing with some of America's finest ski champions at Deer Valley Resort. Friday afternoon will focus on developing culinary skills and the fine art of food and wine pairings. During the evening, intimate vintner dinners have been planned at some of Park City's most beautiful homes. Guests will be invited to experience culinary creations by acclaimed chefs and learn about wine from nationally renowned wine experts.
Those interested in more on the slope action can join skiing legends and their friends on the race hill Saturday morning for the Zions Bank Ability Ski Challenge at Park City Mountain Resort. A gallery stroll to the many art galleries along historic Main Street will interest those looking for a more relaxing activity.
Saturday evening guests will enjoy an elegant six course dinner prepared by Chef Zane Holmquist at Stein Eriksen Lodge, each course paired with a different wine, with a thrilling live auction and lively jazz music.
The Culinary, Wine & Ski Classic weekend culminates on Sunday for package holders only with a "Hair of the Dog" Brunch, at the Blind Dog Restaurant in Park City, where a variety of champagnes will be served and guests can unwind.
The Classic features over 40 wineries from around the country, with big names such as Chalone Wine Group, Von Strasser Winery, Robert Sinskey, Staglin, Grace Family Vineyards, Niebaum-Coppola Estate, Pine Ridge and many more.
