Finish Line and Nike Break 'Finish Line Cup Series' Commercial for Shox Turb Oz Running Shoes
INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Finish Line, Inc. (NASDAQ:FINL), an Indianapolis-based athletic specialty retailer, launched a new television commercial in conjunction with Nike and agency Wieden+Kennedy.

The 30-second spot called 'Finish Line Cup Series' features the Nike Shox Turb Oz running shoes -- the latest in the Shox running series from Nike. This new ad will air primarily on national cable television including ESPN, ESPN 2, MTV, MTV 2, Comedy Central, Spike, BET, TBS, TNT Sports, Fuse and more. The Nike Shox Turb Oz ad will also be featured online via the Yahoo! music channel.
'Finish Line Cup Series' takes a competitive running race and applies all of the hype and energy from a stock car race from the track to the stands to the parking lot outside. The fans are loyal to their favorite runners just like stock car racing fans are fanatic about certain drivers. One of those runners is the men's marathon Olympic silver medallist, Meb Keflezighi, who appears in the spot. The fans in the stands go crazy for Meb and support his effort with 'Go Meb' t-shirts.
During the spot, the runners sprint through the turns and straight-aways bumping and jostling for position just like the racecars do. There is a quick shot of the pit crew where Nike Shox Turb Oz shoes are stacked like tires ready for a pit stop. All of the crowd footage is official footage from racetracks around the country courtesy of Indy Racing League.
