Symbol Technologies Schedules Teleconference to Discuss 2004 Fourth-Quarter and Full-Year Results

HOLTSVILLE, N.Y., Feb. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Symbol Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:SBL) today announced that it expects to report results for the quarter and year ended December 31, 2004, in a news release on Tuesday, March 1, 2005, and that it has scheduled a teleconference and Web cast for 8 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at which time it will discuss those results.

On or about the aforementioned dates, Symbol also expects to file with the Securities and Exchange Commission its Annual Report on Form 10-K for fiscal 2004, which will include the Company's certification of compliance with the internal controls provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 Section 404.
