'Be Kind to Your Heart,' - Says the Former Choreographer for The Backstreet Boys, Sole Survivor of a Family Beset by Heart Disease

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- JOEY DOWDY, dance and fitness guru who came to prominence as the original choreographer for boy band groups such as The Backstreet Boys and Take Five has produced a new cardio fitness video entitled JOEY'S WORLD DANCE GROOVE FITNESS, Dance Instructional DVD/Video Series. The video workout is a unique blend of yoga, pilates, strength training, cardio workout and exotic stretch for body and mind.

JOEY DOWDY is a dancer extraordinaire whose background includes extensive training from Point Park Conservatory in Pittsburgh and The Joffrey Ballet in New York. Raised in the South, the offspring of a Creole (French/Cuban) Father and African-American Mother, Joey saw his entire family disintegrate because of heart disease caused from faulty eating habits (fatty/high carb foods) and lack of exercise. Joey, the sole survivor in his family, decided to dedicate his life to educating others about the importance of becoming more health conscious, especially in our urban cities. Now his dream has crystallized with a product that is effective and appealing to the masses with his new JOEY'S WORLD DANCE GROOVE FITNESS DVD/Video Series set to the beat and tone of Afro-Latino rhythms and movement. The video features everyday people who have used his program and achieved personal gain by applying his method.

JOEY DOWDY currently teaches at several LA premiere fitness facilities including: Bodies In Motion, Millennium, The Edge, Zeal Studios in Culver City, Cal-Tech Pasadena and The Athletic Garage (training ground to many fitness cover models). In New York, he was a dance instructor at the prestigious Broadway Dance Center. Joey's new fitness video will be in fitness and health stores everywhere by Spring 2005, as well as available on line.
