Diane Weingart Appointed Vice President Of Affiliate Marketing At TV Shopping Network HSN
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Dec. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Diane Weingart has been appointed Vice President of Affiliate Marketing, it was announced today by Peter Ruben, Executive Vice President of Affiliate Relations for the TV shopping network HSN.
A 20-year television veteran, Ms. Weingart is responsible for developing and supporting marketing partnerships with HSN's hundreds of affiliates, increasing affiliate-driven sales and revenue and providing ongoing marketing support.
"Diane has established herself as a strong leader in the television and cable industry," states Mr. Ruben. "Her invaluable experience and thorough understanding of affiliate marketing will be instrumental as we work to expand our distribution efforts for both HSN and its sister network America's Store."
Before joining HSN, Ms. Weingart was Regional Manager of New Business Development for Adelphia Cable - Florida Region where she was responsible for a wide range of duties including launching new technology products such as Wink and Commerce TV, developing marketing strategies and advertising campaigns for cable entertainment and high-speed data products; and creating a Hispanic programming tier for the Dade County system.
Prior to her position at Adelphia Cable, Ms. Weingart was Vice President of Affiliate Marketing for USA Networks where she established the affiliate marketing department and local ad support program for USA Network and the Sci Fi Channel. While there, she earned two CTAM Mark Awards as well as a CAB President's Award recognizing her innovative contributions to improving local advertising revenues for cable systems.
A native New Yorker, Ms. Weingart received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College and an MBA in Marketing from Baruch College.
