Newt and Callista Gingrich Coming to Naples this Week
Southwest Florida Law School to Host Screening of Historic Documentary
NAPLES, Fla., April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Newt Gingrich and his wife Callista Gingrich will be in Naples this Sunday for an exclusive screening of the film "Nine Days that Changed the World" - the story of Pope John Paul II's trip to Poland in 1979 to stand with his people against their communist rulers. The event will be held in the auditorium of Naples High School and is sold out.
"Callista and I are very excited to visit Naples and be a part of this great event," Speaker Gingrich said. "Ave Maria School of Law has a national reputation for excellence. In the past year, the Law School appears to have truly hit her stride under the leadership of Dean Eugene Milhizer. This is the perfect time and the perfect project to join together with Ave Maria School of Law and honor the legacy of Pope John Paul II."
While the "Nine Days that Changed the World" film screening was open to the public and free of charge, auditorium capacity limited the number of guests that could experience the film. Law School events staff reported that capacity was reached two weeks before the date of the event, and while it is now sold out, excitement is high among those planning to attend.
