PBS Series A Place of Our Own and Los Ninos en Su Casa to Air Week-Long Special Programming to Help Families Cope With the Economic Crisis Premiering Monday, June 22

LOS ANGELES, June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The PBS award-winning series, A Place of Our Own and Los Ninos En Su Casa will address the current financial crisis impacting families, airing a special week of programming June 22-26. The series features five episodes highlighting how parents and caregivers can cope with economic insecurity.

A Place of Our Own and Los Ninos en Su Casa are daily informational television series in English and Spanish, designed for parents, grandparents, and childcare providers of young children. These special and timely episodes of the Peabody Award-winning series examine how adults can help reassure young children during changing financial circumstances.

"New economic realities are forcing many families to make changes, both big and small, which affect their children. These programs give parents the tools to reassure and emotionally support their children and to help them cope during these sometimes frightening and unstable times," said Joyce Campbell, of KCET-TV, Los Angeles, Vice President, Education and Children's Programming.
