The Three Stooges Return in Untitled Project From the Farrelly Brothers
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures is moving forward on a modern incarnation of The Three Stooges, currently known as UNTITLED THREE STOOGES PROJECT, with Bobby and Peter Farrelly attached to direct from their screenplay. The announcement was made today by Mary Parent, Chairman, Worldwide Motion Picture Group.
"The Three Stooges are a timeless staple of comedy and when we heard what the Farrellys had in mind we knew it was time for Larry, Moe and Curly to return to the big screen," Parent commented.
There have been numerous manifestations of The Three Stooges but their relationship with MGM dates back to 1933 when the trio appeared in a series of shorts and features for the Lion. The Farrelly Brothers have been working on a modernization of the Stooges, 'slapstick with heart' concept since the mid-90s. But it was their decision to focus on an origin story for Larry, Moe and Curly and thus introduce the three to a new generation that pushed the picture onto the fast track. Audiences have embraced The Three Stooges in a variety of mediums; vaudeville, shorts, television and home video but for Peter Farrelly the communal nature of a theatrical feature remains the perfect experience.

The People Have Spoken (With Waffles) and Red States Win!!!
After 650,000 votes were cast in Waffle House(R) Restaurant's "Waffle The Vote", Red States are the projected winner thanks to Strawberry Waffles beating Blueberry Waffles 58% to 42% in the nationwide popular vote.
However the count was much closer in the Waffle Electoral College. In the state-by-state voting, 26 were declared Red States, 22 were deemed Blue States and three states were too close to call at this time.
"With so many polls with various results this election season, we believe ours is the most trusted since it is directly from our Customers," says Waffle House President Walt Ehmer. "The customers have spoken, and Strawberry Waffles have won it for the Red States."
Waffle House(R) restaurants launched the "Waffle The Vote" campaign on September 1 and received votes from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The two newest waffle flavors -- strawberry and blueberry -- were pitted against each other in a head-to-head competition for waffle supremacy. Customers voted by ordering their favorite waffle at the restaurant or by going online at http://www.wafflehouse.com/ . Votes determined whether a state was Red or Blue.
