KTLA-TV Announces New Sales Team
Aggressive, Experienced Execs Already Know the Market
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- KTLA-TV, a Tribune Company television station, today unveiled a new leadership team for its national and local sales operation, announcing the hiring of three talented sales executives with extensive experience in the Los Angeles market.
-- Patricia Tang has been appointed general sales manager for KTLA, overseeing all of the station's sales operations. Tang was formerly local sales manager at KCBS-TV in Los Angeles.
-- Troy Arce has been named local sales manager for KTLA. She had been the local sales manager at KCAL-TV since 2002.
-- Nancy Caldwell also becomes local sales manager for KTLA, having served as a local account executive for KCBS-TV since 2000.
"Patti, Troy and Nancy are an incredibly strong team that has the advantage of already knowing the Los Angeles market and our viewers," said John Moczulski, KTLA-TV's vice president/station manager. "Most important, they've built long-term relationships in the advertising industry that will allow them to move quickly to be successful at KTLA."
Tang began her career at Blair Television in 1990 as an assistant account executive and was promoted to team sales manager in 1995. She joined KCBS in 1997 as a local account executive. Prior to her work in television sales, Tang worked in the financial industry and has a degree in financial management.
"KTLA-TV is one of the real jewels of television broadcasting, and we have the sales team to match it," said Tang. "We intend to be aggressive and hit the ground running-we want to compete for every advertising dollar in the market."
Caldwell started her sales career at the Speedvision Network and joined Fox Sports West as an account executive in 1995. She joined KCBS in 2000.
Arce began her career as an account executive with the Telemundo Network in 1991. She joined Liberty Sports/Fox Sports Net in 1994 and KCAL-TV in 1997.
"Nancy and I will be partners who share managerial duties in an effort to make the KTLA sales team the best in the market-we think alike, work alike, and sometimes even talk alike," said Arce, apparently a die-hard fan of the old Patty Duke Show. "We plan on having a sales team that truly believes in working hard and delivering what we promise."
Caldwell added, "We plan to make our clients and KTLA successful, and have fun doing it! Our clients will see it, our coworkers at KTLA will see it, and you can bet our competitors will see it!"
