CloverLeaf and Accedo Bring IPTV Games to North American Independent Telco Market
CloverLeaf Digital and Accedo Sign Agreement to Distribute Accedo's Funspot Games to North American Independent Telephone Companies
BROOKLYN, N.Y., Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- CloverLeaf Digital LLC, a leading US provider of interactive television applications and services, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Accedo Broadband AB, the Sweden- based IPTV games specialist, to distribute Accedo's Funspot games to North American independent telephone companies.
With this agreement, CloverLeaf will now offer two leading advanced interactive TV services -- Accedo's Funspot games and CloverLeaf's own DotDaily localized news and information walled garden. For the first time, North American independent service providers will be able to obtain both interactive games and walled garden services from one local supplier.
"Partnering with CloverLeaf gives Accedo an effective channel to reach independent North American service providers, and allows North American service providers to easily launch our Funspot games which have been extremely successful internationally," said Michael Lantz, Accedo Broadband CEO. "Paired with the DotDaily walled garden, our Funspot games give these providers a powerful one-two punch with which to compete in the North American market."
"We are pleased to be able to add the Funspot games to our portfolio. Accedo is a major player in the international IPTV market, and we are excited to be able to bring their games to North America," said CloverLeaf Digital Founder and Managing Partner, Lawrence Brickman. "Offering advanced two-way services such as Funspot and DotDaily delivers on the IPTV promise, and is the easiest and most economical way for service providers to add value for their subscribers and differentiate their video offering from their competitors."
Accedo's Funspot games have proven appeal with both consumers and are service providers all over the world. CloverLeaf will offer a selection of fifteen popular Funspot games, including: Sudoku, Black Jack, and other arcade, casino, strategy and kids games. As with CloverLeaf's DotDaily walled garden, Accedo Broadband's Funspot games are supported by all major middleware platforms distributed in North America.
