New Pokemon Trading Card Game National Television Commercial Created by Signal Theory
Pokemon Trading Card Game: Diamond & Pearl - Stormfront Spot Debuts November 8th
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Advertising, branding, and design agency Signal Theory launched the Pokemon TCG: Diamond & Pearl - Stormfront campaign for Pokemon USA, Inc.'s latest Pokemon Trading Card Game expansion today. The campaign showcases Gyarados, a powerful Pokemon that is typically found in water. The Southern California shop also handled the national media buy for Pokemon.
A fifteen second television commercial (http://signaltheory.com/PR) features Gyarados storming through the sea as the voiceover features game highlights. "We went for a dark and powerful spin with the Gyarados commercial," says Steve Hodowsky, Signal Theory's creative director. "Pokemon provided us with a character model and we worked with animation house ColourMovie to bring Gyarados to life. Together we created one of Signal Theory's top TV spots for Pokemon USA."
The latest anticipated release of the Pokemon Trading Card Game hit stores November 5. The TV campaign will begin on November 8 and the spot will air on major broadcast and cable networks such as Kids WB and Cartoon Network. Signal Theory also placed print ads in national magazines like Boys' Life. In addition to developing the print and television creative and placing print and television media, Signal Theory also developed in-store materials.
