TV.com Raises Grey's Anatomy Character From the Dead
"Grey's Anatomy's" Denny Duquette Overwhelmingly Selected by TV.com Users as the Character They Would Choose to Come Back from the Dead in Recent Poll
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- TV.com, a leading content and community site for TV fans, gets into the Halloween spirit with their latest poll, asking its community members which TV character they would choose to bring back from the dead. Hospital patient, Denny Duquette (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Izzie's (Katherine Heigl) love interest and a patient in the second season of ABC's Grey's Anatomy, was the clear winner at 41% of the votes, with Amber (Anne Dudek) from HOUSE coming in second.
Denny's tragic love story pulled at the hearts of Grey's Anatomy fans everywhere when he proposed to Izzie, only to suffer a fatal stroke in season two. His character has since appeared in later episodes, but it is clear the TV.com community wants to see more of him and his relationship with Izzie. Denny Duquette's character even appeared in this Fall's premiere episode of Grey's Anatomy.
"This is another great example of how we are creating complementary experiences online for TV fans to get more involved in the characters they love - living or dead," said Jeff Clark, vice president of TV.com.
TV.com users voted in this poll, proving that the loss of a beloved character is not taken lightly by television enthusiasts. Following Denny and Amber, the remaining votes went to Edgar Stiles from 24, Mary Alice Young from Desperate Housewives, and William Walker from Brothers & Sisters.
Following are the poll results:
Denny Duquette (Grey's Anatomy) 41% 1,453
Amber Volakis (House) 26% 932
Mary Alice Young (Desperate Housewives' narrator) 13% 443
Edgar Stiles (24) 16% 560
William Walker (Brothers & Sisters) 4% 132
