"iGo to Japan gives fans more of everything they love about iCarly. It's a big, broad, hilarious romp - loaded with suspense and mess like only Dan Schneider can deliver," said Marjorie Cohn, Executive Vice President, Development and Original Programming. "It's topped off with a rocking performance by iCarly soundtrack artists Good Charlotte - and the iCarly experience continues on the newly redesigned iCarly.com site."
Riding high on the news of their nomination, Carly, Sam and Freddie kick off their adventure on a tin can of a plane packed with caged possums and piloted by Spencer's (Jerry Trainor) odd acquaintance, a grizzled, Korea-bound guy named Freight Dog (Don Stark). After parachuting onto Japanese soil, the bedraggled group arrives at last at their hotel and meets iCarly's main rivals for the iWeb trophy, Kyoki and Yuki. Seemingly friendly, the Japanese teens take the American kids on a "scenic tour" in a minivan. It's a dirty trick, though, and the duplicitous duo peels off, leaving the iCarly crew stranded and mud-splattered just hours before the ceremony. Down but not out, the trio keeps on trucking. Thanks to Freddie's mom, they're spotted and whisked to the awards - only to be sequestered in a utility room with security guards. The show starts and the countdown begins. The opening act, Good Charlotte, pumps up the volume with their hit single "Where Would We Be Now?" Will the iCarly kids get a crack at competing onstage? And will they take home the coveted trophy?
Post premiere, on Monday, Nov. 10 beginning at 4 p.m. (ET/PT), in a programming block titled "iGo Behind the Scenes," Miranda Cosgrove will host an iCarly marathon revealing footage shot behind the scenes in the making of the flick, followed by an encore airing of the movie at
8:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
