New Western Series by L. Ron Hubbard Announced at National Show

Authentic Golden Age Stories of the Old West

PHOENIX, March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- A new line of golden age western stories was announced to attendees of the 18th annual national Festival of the West show this week. The novel "Branded Outlaw" will kick off release of 33 western stories penned by master storyteller L. Ron Hubbard to be published beginning this summer.

In making the announcement, Galaxy Press president John Goodwin, publisher of the soon-to-be-released Stories from the Golden Age series, said each novel will appear in both print and audio formats because of the popularity of the story form by readers and travelers.

"Other than the likes of Louis L'Amour, few authors have ever been able to invoke the natural authenticity of the western story as L. Ron Hubbard because the frontier was his home," said Goodwin from the grounds of the Festival at the Rawhide Wild West town near Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix.

In attendance at the show, actor and producer Martin Kove (Wyatt Earp, Karate Kid, Rambo) stated, "L. Ron Hubbard's stories are so rich with detail that you can actually hear the horse hoofs kettle-drum down the pass and smell the pungent odor of the sage brush whip by as you are reading them," And as one of the featured artists in the Hubbard audiobooks, he concluded, "These stories are the real deal."

Hubbard was born and grew up in frontier Montana. Later, he studied the folklore of range riders and homesteaders, of Indian tribes and their turbulent pasts. "His fascination with the frontier and his immersion in its history really separates Hubbard's works from many western writers who actually never lived in the authentic West," Goodwin added, "enabling any reader to really experience the excitement of another time and place."

Explore the Stories from the Golden Age series of more than 150 short novels, representing one of the largest releases of short fiction ever published by a single publisher. The novels are slated for release over the next six years and will include the original pulp art that decorated the stories when they were first released in the pulp magazines of the day.
