Thirty-minute Program shows different tourist destinations in El Salvador

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador, Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, December 8, the E! SPECIAL "EL SALVADOR IMPRESIONANTE" (Amazing El Salvador) was broadcast live in North America and seen by millions of people on the E! Entertainment Television channel in 283 cities in the region.

The production crew of the prestigious U.S. firm SONY PICTURES visited El Salvador to record footage of different tourist sites, which would eventually be broadcast on the world-renowned E! ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION channel. This is the first program filmed in Central America as a tourist special.

The places shown in the program are: The beaches at El Sunzal and El Tunco, featuring surfing; Jiquilisco Bay, Puerto Barillas; Lake Coatepeque; the waterfalls at La Calera; the Hotel Royal Decameron Salinitas; archeological parks and the cities of Chalchuapa and Suchitoto; as well as shopping centers, bars and a golf match at a private club, among other attractions. These places were visited from September 25 through 28.

The Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) and Corporacion Salvadorena de Turismo (CORSATUR) organized an event with special guests at the Allegria Bar in the Gran Via Life Style Center.

During the trip, the crew visited El Salvador's east coast beaches in a helicopter provided by the Air Force, accompanied by Ruben Rochi, Tourism Minister. The helicopter took them for a tour over Lake Ilopango, then flew over the coastal area, touching down at a semi-virgin beach near the Jiquilisco Bay in the state of Usulutan.

"El Salvador is a very beautiful country and it has things that many of us don't even realize, there's so much green, virgin beaches, the roads are good. The image I had wasn't even half as beautiful as what's out there," said the Mexican model visiting the country.
