Lauren Bush Endorses Princeton Musical Mission for African Hunger Relief

NEW ALBUM SUPPORTS SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM BACKED BY BUSH'S CHARITY

PRINCETON, N.J., Dec. 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Lauren Bush, Princeton University graduate (Anthropology/Photography, '06), hunger-relief advocate, and Founder and Director of FEED Projects for the benefit of the United Nations World Food Program School Feeding campaign, is lauding the new Princeton choral community holiday album which also supports the WFP effort in Africa.

"I am so proud of the response by the Princeton community with this musical mission, and I am honored to support it," said Bush, who founded the FEED Projects (www.feedprojects.org) to design and produce eco-friendly products, such as the distinctive, burlap and muslin FEED bag, to help feed the hungry by raising awareness and contributions. Bush suggested the ideal holiday gift would be the bag containing "A Princeton Christmas: For the Children of Africa" CD (www.princetonchristmas.org).

Tom Meagher, who developed the holiday album, said Lauren Bush has been "incredibly supportive" of the effort and an inspiration to the team of volunteers who have collaborated to "bring great music from a great community to help children who desperately need our help."

The purchase of "A Princeton Christmas: For the Children of Africa", the 20-song, one-hour album (through www.princetonchristmas.org and also available via download from the iTunes Store) will feed one African child for nearly three months. Signature selections have been donated by The American Boychoir; The Princeton Girlchoir; The Princeton University Chapel Choir; The Westminster Concert Bell Choir and Westminster Choir of the Westminster Choir College of Rider University; The Tartantones of Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart; The Princeton Day School Choir Madrigal Singers; and The Princeton High School Choir.

FEED Projects, LLC benefits the WFP's School Feeding operations, which provide children with a nutritious meal a day and provides incentive for them to get an education. Since April, it has given donations to WFP to feed over 37,500 hungry children in school for one year. Its goal is to sell as many FEED bags as possible to FEED and educate the world's 350 million hungry children.
