Wal-Mart Releases Eagles' 'Deluxe Collector's Edition of Long Road Out of Eden'

Exclusive 2-Disc Package Features Additional Songs, Including Holiday Favorite 'Please Come Home For Christmas'

BENTONVILLE, Ark., Nov. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wal-Mart Stores announces that next Tuesday, Nov. 20 the new Eagles' "Deluxe Collector's Edition of Long Road Out of Eden" will arrive for sale exclusively at all Wal-Mart and Sam's Club locations. The deluxe 2-disc album features 22 tracks. Included on the deluxe album are new tracks: the holiday hit "Please Come Home For Christmas" and "Hole In The World." Additionally, the edition includes a 40-page booklet with lyrics, credits, exclusive photos and desert scenes from the making of the "How Long" video. The "Deluxe Collector's Edition of Long Road Out of Eden" is wrapped in a red linen cloth, screen printed with panoramic imagery.

The two bonus tracks "Please Come Home For Christmas" and "Hole In The World" will also be available for download through http://www.walmart.com/ in MP3 format. The "Deluxe Collector's Edition of Long Road Out of Eden" album itself will sell in U.S. and Canadian stores and on http://www.walmart.com/, http://www.samsclub.com/ and http://www.eaglesband.com/ for $13.88, and for the full album download price of $12.88.

"Long Road Out of Eden" -- released Oct. 30 exclusively through Wal-Mart -- has sold more than 1 million units since its release in the U.S. and Canada. In the first week of its release, it became the number one selling album on the Billboard Top 200 chart and one of the largest, fastest-selling music products in Wal-Mart history.

The original 2-disc album and "Deluxe Collector's Edition of Long Road Out of Eden" reflect the band and Wal-Mart's shared commitment to environmental sustainability. The album packaging features Domtar EarthChoice(R) papers. To ensure paper is sourced from well-managed forests, EarthChoice papers are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), publicly endorsed by the Rainforest Alliance and supported by World Wildlife Fund and Forest Ethics. This unique CD package contains 30 percent post-consumer recycled fiber, and virgin fiber from FSC Certified forests or other controlled sources. The two disc set of 20 new songs is available in store for $11.88 or $10.88 in downloadable MP3 format online.
