ICTV, Leader in Delivering Broadband Video Experience as Television, Relocates Corporate Headquarters to Downtown San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- ICTV(R), a Silicon Valley company that is revolutionizing how consumers view and interact with broadband video on television, announced today that it has relocated its corporate headquarters to River Park Tower in downtown San Jose.

The move establishes downtown San Jose as the development and business hub of the ICTV ActiveVideo(TM) Distribution Network. ActiveVideo enables remote control interaction by television viewers with personalized streams of broadband video and targeted, actionable advertising. National and international brand-name programmers, including Fox, CNN, Home Shopping Network (HSN) and others, are creating ActiveVideo Channels that combine the choice and control of broadband with the high-quality video and immediacy of television.

The ICTV agreement represents the second-largest corporate lease this year in the downtown San Jose market. Scott Daugherty, of the Santa Clara real estate company Cornish & Carey, served as the leasing agent for ICTV. River Park Tower is a Legacy Partners Commercial property.

"Downtown San Jose -- the urban center of Silicon Valley -- is fast becoming a preferred location for driving industry technology companies," said Chuck Reed, Mayor of the City of San Jose. "I am delighted that ICTV has announced the relocation of its headquarters office and R&D laboratories to River Park Towers in Downtown. My City Council colleagues and I warmly welcome the executives and staff of ICTV and wish you well in the years ahead."

"As we launch our ActiveVideo Distribution Network and work more directly with high-profile entertainment partners, it has become important that we create an environment that projects our new role in the industry," said Jeff Miller, president and CEO of ICTV. "Downtown San Jose and River Park Tower offers us everything we need to create a stronger public identity: a prominent location in a major market; a vibrant surrounding business community; convenient access for our customers; proximity to imaginative creative services firms; and the ready availability of a significant pool of resources across Silicon Valley."

"ICTV's move to downtown reaffirms San Jose's status as the center for innovation," said Sam Liccardo, member of the San Jose City Council. "I am delighted to welcome them to the downtown."

River Park Tower, at 333 West San Carlos Street, is conveniently located near major highways and the San Jose International Airport. ICTV's corporate, administrative, sales, marketing and engineering positions will be located in the 16-story building. The lease includes space to accommodate personnel growth as ActiveVideo offerings increase.

ActiveVideo allows entire libraries of video, on-screen elements and advertising to be searched and selected in a Web-like manner via existing remote controls, and to be viewed as television programming. ActiveVideo supports the targeted, interactive banner advertisements and valuable ad showcases that are driving online advertising revenues to very high growth rates. ActiveVideo P:Mosaic(TM), the multichannel industry's first customizable, personalized video-rich navigation system, provides easy-to-use navigation, allowing subscribers to view live video from and navigate through a number of channels at a single glance.
