WHAT: This year's Virgin Festival By Virgin Mobile is even better --
expanded to two full days and featuring over 40 of the hottest
bands and DJs around, including one of the last chances to catch
almost two hours of The Police in their reunion tour. Inspired by
Richard Branson's world-renowned UK-based V Festival, Virgin
Festival By Virgin Mobile features non-stop music, art, surprises,
interactive ways to learn about helping the environment and much
more.

WHEN: Saturday, August 4th and Sunday, August 5th

A FULL WEEKEND OF SURPRISES AND UNEXPECTED EVENTS INCLUDING:
-- On-site interactive "Green Spot," a community center with information
and exhibit "pods" featuring a human-powered bike blender making
organic smoothies; a "Light Bike" that converts how human power
illuminates incandescent bulbs vs. compact florescent lightbulbs
(CFL); phone recycling stations; "The Phantom Power Meter," a model of
an eco-friendly house; and a video kiosk with celebrity PSAs and short
films from the Live Earth Concerts
-- The Solar-Powered Stage, featuring even more artists and deejays
-- The RE*Generation Gallery -- curated by artist Rich Jacobs and
featuring the commissioned works of 21 artists supporting Virgin Mobile
in building awareness of the plight of homeless youth

Incredibly Strange Wrestling, Maryland's premiere all-woman roller
derby league, The Charm City Roller Girls, and the Motormorons -- a
band that plays car parts as instruments.
-- Activity domes to help festivalgoers "recharge, renew, and refresh",
including misting zones, chair massages, do-it-yourself button making
and temporary tattoo parlors
-- First national performance by Seattle-based Goth punk rock band, AIDEN,
winner of Virgin Mobile's "Book the Band," sponsored by MTV2, Kyocera
Wireless and Virgin Mobile USA
-- Dazzling art experiences -- including fire sculptures that light up the
night's sky, kinetic robots and a 200-foot black light installation
-- Live graffiti art
